The feet were angry.
They said to the hands. "We hate to look at you,
hands. We always support the whole body and
cannot wash despite sweating inside shoes,
while you move freely and wash
whenever you feel dirty."
발이 화가 났다.
손에게 말하기를
"난 네 손이 보기 싫어.
난 온몸을 바치느라 씻지도 못하고
신발 속에 갇혀 땀만 흘리는데
너는 마음대로 움직이고
조금만 더러워도 하루에도 수십 번 씻어대고..."
The ears grew angry.
They said to the eyes. We hate to see you,
eyes. We have only the ability to hear while
you can see everywhere you want o look."
귀가 화가 났다.
눈에게 말하기를
"난 네가 정말 보기 싫어.
난 듣기밖에 못하는데
너는 여기저기 보고 싶은 것 다 보잖아! 치!"
The mouth said to the feet.
"Because of your existence, the hands can move!"
The mouth also said to the ears. "Because
of your existence, the eyes can move!"
입이 말했다.
발에게
"네가 있기에 손이 움직일 수 있는거야!"
귀에게
"네가 있기에 눈이 움직일 수 있는거야!"
They sang altogether.
"As the body cannot live without hands and feet,
the world need support from us all and
obtain strength from it!"
다 같이 합창하였다.
"몸에서 손발이 떠나서 살 수 없듯이
세상은 모두가 어울려 서로 힘이 되어 사는 거야!"
Feet jumped, hands clapped, ears heard
happy sounds, and eyes smiled brightly.
발은 뛰고
손은 박수를 치고
귀는 즐거운 소리를 듣고
눈은 활짝 웃고 있었다.
And then the mouth sang in happiness.
그리고 입은 행복을 노래했다.
