One day, a turtle climbed up a rock and
looked down the field. He felt cheerful.
어느 날 거북이는 바위 위에 올라
산야를 바라보았다. 마음이 상쾌했다.
The turtle had never thought himself a laggard.
거북이는 자신이 한 번도
느림보라고 생각해보지 않았다.
One day a rabbit ran back and forth.
어느 날 토끼가 쏜살같이 전진, 후퇴를
반복하고 있었다.
The turtle saw the rabbit doing this and thought.
'Why is the rabbit running in such a flurry?'
'Does the rabbit have any awareness of his
running?' 'Is there any use of running in
such a rambling way?'
그 모습을 본 거북이는 생각하기를
'토끼가 왜 저렇게
정신없이 폴짝폴짝 뛰어다니나?'
'무슨 생각은 하고 뛰나?'
'생각도 없이 동서남북 뛰기만 하면 되나?'
Running here and there searching for food,
the rabbit spotted the turtle crawling along
and thought.
먹이를 찾아 여기저기 뛰며
풀을 뜯던 토끼 또한
하냐세월로 엉금엉금 기는
거북이를 보고 생각하기를
'How could the turtle be so peaceful?'
'Does the turtle have any idea of the
changing world?' 'It is a wonder that the
turtle is able to live in like this.'
'Why on earth does he just crawl along?'
'저렇게 태평할 수 있나?'
'세상 바뀌는 줄도 모르나?'
'저래도 살아 있는 게 참 용~해'
'도대체 무슨 생각을 하고
저렇게 느리게 기어 다니고만 있나?'
'..........'
'..........'
As of September 2008, the turtle still doesn't
understand the rabbit and the rabbit still
doesn't understand the turtle.
2008년 9월까지 아직도...
거북이는 토끼를 이해 못하고
토끼는 거북이를 이해 못하고 있다.
The war of nerves continues.
토끼와 거북이의 신경전은
아직도 계속 되고 있다. |
